The first time your ideal client encounters you, they are starting to form their impression about who you are, what you do, and whether they want to get to know you better. If so, they start to check out your website and social media profiles. They are trying to determine if you are someone they want to continue to interact with or not.

 

That’s why it’s so important that you use words that your ideal client understands.

Don’t make them guess. Make it easy for them to understand what you do and if you offer something they need.

There are three parts to the First Impressions Brand Assessment:

With decades of experience analyzing businesses, evaluating content, and developing Messages that ROAR, I will review your website, social media, and marketing material as a prospective client might.

I’ll balance my Professional Assessment with feedback straight from your followers. I’ll facilitate and collect anonymous survey results from your subscribers and followers so that they can feel comfortable sharing open and honest feedback. Because it’s no good to you if it’s not honest.

I’ll then analyze the results and compile them into a comprehensive report of the findings which I will present to you. This report isn’t just the raw data. It comes with specific feedback and opportunities to improve the clarity of your message.

30-minute Introduction Session to review the survey questions that will be prepared for your followers, and to make sure I have all your website, social media, and marketing information.

Professional Review of your website, social media, and initial marketing materials (i.e. opt-ins).

Administration and collection of survey responses from your subscribers and followers.

First Impressions Brand Assessment Report containing the results of the professional assessment and survey, and specific opportunities to further clarify your messaging.

1-hour Consultation to review the report findings and opportunities.

1 week of direct email support for any additional questions after you’ve had a chance to review your report in detail.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the entire process take?

From the initial Introduction meeting to the report presentation, the entire process will take approximately 2 weeks. You will then receive 1 week of additional email support for a total of 3 weeks.

The survey will be finalized within 2 business days of the Introduction meeting for distribution to your followers and subscribers, and will remain open for 1 week. Any longer than that, and you’ll have diminishing returns on responsiveness.

Following the completion of the survey (which is running at the same time as the Professional Assessment), it will take 1 week to analyze the results and prepare the final report.

How is the anonymous survey conducted? I don't share my list with others.

I don’t want you to share your list with me, either. Protecting the privacy of your subscribers is important to keeping their trust.

I will prepare and host the survey and will provide you with a custom URL that you can then share with your followers by email and on your social media channels. I’ll provide you with a sample introduction that you’re free to use to explain what the survey is about and that it will be administered by a third party. I will not receive any personally identifiable information for the respondents.

What if I don't have a website yet?

No problem! My goal is to assess what you DO have and how that’s shaping the impressions people are getting. So we’ll focus on where you are. If you’re sharing posts in private social media groups, I may ask that you take screen shots of some of your most recent posts since that’s how you’re sharing your content.
